AMITECH'07 Machine Vs Musicians(15th-17th March)
Amitech is the Technical and Cultural festival hosted by The Amity School of Engineering and Technology. This three day retreat encompassed the understanding of a broad range of subjects. It not only teased the brains of the participants, but also provided a reveling outlet in cultural events. It also exposed students to an aesthetic and technical environment to foster personal expression, professional expertise, and creative flair. IEEE-ASET organized following events under the banner of AMITECH’07 :-
ROBOPROD - Clash Of Metals
The event required the teams to built robots (a miniature vehicle) which were placed in a game field of specified dimensions and required to perform the desired tasks. The aim of the robot is to put maximum number of sponge balls into the four corners of the board in 2 minutes.
Teams from renowned colleges like NSIT,BVP(Delhi),GCIT showed up for the event and turned it out into huge success.

LFR-The Line Following Robot
IEEE student branch acted out to be the milestone under its Annual fest this year because it introduced event like LFR for the first time which showed up immense participation and enthusiastic teams from eminent colleges across India like NSIT, BVP (Delhi), Rajeev Gandhi college of Engineering and Technology (Pondicherry),IIT,AIT etc..

CEREBRATIONS-The Technical Paper Presentation
It's often said that most technical people don't write well. So here IEEE-ASET organized CEREBRATIONS-The Tech Paper presentation contest which was participated by many teams from diversified colleges like NSIT, GTBIT, BVCOE and ASET, on various topics from the streams of Electronics & Communication, Information Technology, Mechanical and Computer Science. The Presentations were judged by honorable Dr. Ravi Mehrotra (scientist ‘F’, R&D Department, National Physics Laboratory), Dr. Ashish Ranjan(scientist ‘C’,Central Computing Faculty, National Physics Laboratory),Dr. Sujata Pandey(Head Of Department, Electronics & Communication, ASET).
JEWEL TECH- Creative Jewellery Designing
Bored of old stereotype jewellery… why not try something new!!!!
This event was a step forward to enhance the Creative & Designing Skills of ours over studious minds.12 teams from different colleges participated in the same and tried their hands at designing jewellery pieces using wires, capacitors, resistors, LEDs and scrap metal sheets incorporating techniques of soldering.
SPRINT - The C/C++ online quiz
SPRINT – The C/C++ Online Quiz: -IEEE-ASET also organized an online C/C++ contest comprising of two rounds. In the first round contestants
faced many programming based MCQs of varying difficulty levels on the PCs assigned to them .Second round tested the programming and coding
skills of the contestants and was aimed at to find the best programmers out of the participants .Students from all the years participated in the event and the contest was a huge success
All in all, AMITECH’07 provided IEEE-ASET a great platform to temper the technical minds so as to furnish out better from the best.
Seminar On Information Security & ethical hacking
Realization that the Internet now represents human voices from around the world has made the defense of its integrity an important pastime for many. Information Security & Ethical hacking, is, in the realm of Information Technology, where a person is ethically opposed to the abuse of computer systems. Our Student branch organized a seminar on the same on 23rd March delivered by Mr. Vivek P. Nair (Vice President, Appin Security Group,Appin Knowledge & Solutions ).It was attended by more then 100 students of ASET and brimmed them with cognition and knowledge about Black and White hat world.
Launch of BINARY 0010
IEEE-ASET released its half yearly e-publication Binary 0010 in March 2007.

TRIP to AGRA ( 31st March)
To give a break to all technical minds out here ieeeaset organised a trip to agra, which proved to be a successful platform to groom social skills and increase coordination among members where everyone integrated in informal manner
